WILSON -- Services for Josephine M. Hartsell, 91, were conducted Oct. 22, 1997, in the Wilson First Baptist Church with the Rev. Darel Bunch officiating. Interment was in Hewitt Cemetery.
Mrs. Hartsell died Oct. 19, 1997, in a Tulsa hospital. She was born Nov. 7, 1905, in Hewitt to Dave and Annie Wooten Todd.
She owned and operated Josephine's Cafe in Wilson for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served as superintendent of the primary department for several years. She and George E. Hartsell were married in November 1924. He preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1961. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lila Donaldson and Pearl Chisum; three brothers, Lee Todd, Polie Todd and Ed Todd.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara K. Gannon, Tulsa; a son, G.E., Whitesboro, Texas; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
