Mrs. Church, 79, died Thursday, June 5, 2003 in the Pines Nursing Home. Born in Robeson County, NC, November 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William A. Grimsley and Jeanette Mae Hardin Grimsley.
She was a member of East Dillon Baptist Church and a seamstress. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Daniel M. Church of Dillon; daughter, Barbara Faye Church of Columbia; granddaughter, Kelly M. Lawson of Charleston; nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Church was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Sue McDowell; sisters, Ella Grimsley, and Quinnie Mae Taylor; brothers, Claude, Ishman, Grover, Tommy, Lewis, Harold and David.
