Home Twaalfkamerenstraat 40/50-Keizer karelstraat gent/Voordriesstraat 13 Oosterzele (second home father) the family De Vigne was an artistic family, Emma's father Pieter De Vigne was sculptor like her brother Paul. Emma and her sisters Louise and Malvina focused on painting. She learned painting from her uncle Félix De Vigne. [2] She painted the first twenty years of her career, especially still lifes with flowers, later also portraits.
The Vigne married in 1892 with her cousin Julius De Vigne (1844-1908), son of Felix, who is a lawyer and literary.
