SALTILLO – Virginia ""Ginny"" Bohannon, 77, died Friday, March 14, 2014, at her home after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 16, l936, to John Robert ""Bob"" Waddle and Mildred Howell Waddle. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church near Fulton. She was a self-employed wallpaper hanger for more than 30 years and had a unique style of decorating. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.A service celebrating her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Bobby Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park in Verona. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from noon to service time on Sunday, all at the Tupelo Chapel.Survivors include her three daughters, Leigh Harris and Kristi Shackelford and husband, Stevie, all of Saltillo, and Tracie Bohannon and fiancé, Tracy King of Saltillo; five grandchildren, Jordan and Kelsey Harris, Alli and Bo Hanna Shackelford, and Brodie King; two sisters, Mary Nell Fikes and husband, Harold, of Saltillo and Sandy McGrew and husband, Dan, of Franklin, Tenn.; one brother, Tommy Waddle of Shannon; brother-in-law, A.D. Woodridge; sisters-in-law, Virginia and Kim Waddle; her Bohannon in-laws; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jane and David May, Beverly Tolar, and Sue Walls. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Bohannon; her parents; a sister, Elizabeth Wooldridge; a half sister, Maylene Cody; two brothers, Jimmy and John Waddle Jr.; three half brothers, Robin, Morris and Jed Waddle; and a nephew, Philip Waddle.Pallbearers will be Chris Waddle, Tracy King, Stevie Shackelford, Michael Waddle, Ronnie Rye, Kenny Wooldridge, Donny Wooldridge, Mark Cooper, A.J. Rye, Craig Waddle, Bruce McGrew and David Slowik.
