"Together Forever"
Our beloved children Anthony James Pittl Jr. and Amber Marie Allen Pittl were taken from us in a tragic accident on April 24, 1999.
Tony was born August 18, 1972, in Kettering, Ohio, to Anthony James and Margo Pamela Fauber Pittl. Married Amber Marie Allen on May 1, 1993; solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on January 31, 1997.
Amber was born on November 30, 1975, in Bountiful, Utah, to Calvin DeLoy and Debra Kelson Allen.
Active members of the LDS Church, they loved the outdoors. They enjoyed life together through struggles and their successes. Tony enjoyed his work at Mountain Moose Design and the people he worked with. Amber loved raising her children and Amber's success was her children. Amber was very creative particularly with her scrapbooks.
Survived by their precious children, Lindsey, A.J., Jamison, Bailey, and Kassidy; parents, Anthony James Pittl Sr. and Margo, Calvin (Katherine) Allen, Debra (Robert L.) Youngblood, M.D.; brothers and sisters, Cammy (Kent) Bodily, Megan (Coby) Willahan, Ryan Patrick (Jill) Allen, Joshua Allen.
Joint funeral services will be held Thursday, April 29, 1999, at 12 noon at the Kearns Central Stake Center, 4575 West 5415 South. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, and Thursday at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

ISLAND PARK, Idaho (AP) -- A Kearns couple drowned when their canoe swamped near Coffee Pot Rapids on the Henrys Fork River, just south of Henrys Lake.
Killed were:-- Tony "J.R." Pittl, 25, Kearns.
-- Amber Pittl, 25, Kearns.
The Pittls, parents of five young children, were canoeing Saturday afternoon with Levi Wilson, of Salt Lake City, between Mack's Inn and McCrae's Bridge when their canoes swamped, according to the Fremont County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff's officials said the three were unfamiliar with the area.
Tony Pittl, an avid outdoorsman and former member of the Marine Corps Special Forces, and his wife, who ran a manicure business from her home, were on a weekend getaway, neighbor and friend Geri Winkler told the Deseret News.
Wilson was able to get out of the water and walked to Elk Creek Station to call for help. He told officers he last saw the couple just above the rapids.
"It's just so shocking that they couldn't get out," Winkler said. "They were everywhere together. They were inseparable in life, and they're inseparable in death."
The Pittl children, ages 7, 5, 4 and 11-month-old twins, apparently are staying with their grandparents in Kearns. Neighbors are attempting to set up a fund in the family's behalf.
Rescue crews had difficulty getting into the water because of high snow levels in the area but finally recovered the bodies 500 yards downstream of the rapids around 8 p.m. Saturday evening.
The Coffee Pot section of the river is considered Class III water, meaning it has large waves and obstacles and is recommended for intermediate to advanced boaters.
A fund has been established at Zions Bank, Kearns Branch, to benefit the Pittl children and to cover funeral costs.
