Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Seydler-Hill Chapel for Ben Pierpont, 94, who died in Memorial Hospital at 5 25 p.m. Thursday.
The Rev. Warren Hornung, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will conduct the last rites with burial to follow in the Masonic cemetery. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted.
Mr. Pierpont was born in the Wrightsboro Community on August 14, 1884, the son of William and Martha Buchanan Pierpont. He was married on July
13, 1905, to Jennie Bell Davidson and the family home is on Route 1, Gonzales. He was engaged in ranching until his health forced his retirement. He was a member of the First United Methodist church and of the Gonzales Masonic Lodge, having received his 50 year pin several years ago.
