Funeral services for Rowland F. Lavey, 76, of Brothertown, will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho. The Rev. Gerald Sciroi will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 7:45 to 10:30 a.m. at Wieting-Schneider Funeral Home, Chilton, where a parish vigil will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m.
Mr. Lavey died Sunday, Feb. 12, 1989, at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton. He was born Oct. 16, 1912, in Brothertown, a son of John and Ruby La Prairie Lavey. On June 2, 1936, he married Marcella Leitner at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho.
Mr. Lavey farmed in the Brothertown area before retiring in 1987. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho, the church's Holy Name Society, and Brothertown Fishing Club.
Survivors include his wife: one daughter, Donna Forge and her husband Ralph of Howards Grove; one son Matthew of Chilton; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Ruggles of Sheboygan, and Genevieve Mattes of Florida.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Kay; one son, Bob; one sister; and four brothers.
