Harry Behnke, 84, of Redgranite, Wis., went to meet the Lord his maker on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 4:03 p.m. at the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.

Harry served his country as a United States Marine in the Korean War. He lived and worked in Marinette, WI and Milwaukee Counties for several fine people. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He was proud to be a Marine, and believed in their motto, "Semper Fi" which means, "Always Faithful." He loved to fish and grow potatoes and fruit trees.

Harry is survived by his wife Margaruite "Margie";
a son Dennis of Milwaukee, WI;
daughters: Susan Behnke of Oconto Falls, WI and Sharon Behnke of Menominee, Mich.;
three step-children: William Poquette, II, Keith Poquette and Carolynn (Poquette) Klatt, all of Marinette.
He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and two children: Russell and Shirley Pickett.

Memorial Services for Harry Behnke will be held Saturday, September 12th at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Redgranite. (Please note the date.) The Rev. Laura Hawkins, Pastor will officiate. Full Military Honors will be rendered following the Memorial Services at the Church. Harry's family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday morning, September 12th. (1 hour prior to the Memorial Services) at the Church.

Harry will be laid to rest in the Crivitz Memorial Cemetery in Crivitz, Wis.
