Arnold married the former Alice Weber February 23, 1952, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Crivitz.
He served in the United States Army in the Fifth Calvary in the Korean War.
Arnold farmed in the Crivitz area and worked at Fort Howard Paper Company, Green Bay, for 29 years until retiring. Upon retirement he fulfilled his dream of raising and training horses. He was Supervisor for the Township of Stephenson and a Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Crivitz.
Surviving are wife, Alice;
eight children: Arnold, Jr., New London, WI; Alan (Ruth), Lena, WI; Gary (Julie), Hartford, WI; Glen, Crivitz, WI; Jon (Linda), Crivitz, WI; Joseph (Bonnie), King George, VA; Paul, Appleton, WI; Robert (Anna), Bolliver, MO;
two very special friends: Karen and Jane;
30 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;
one brother, Harry, Marinette, WI
and one sister, Adeline Wyss, St. Croix Falls.
Arnold was preceded in death by one daughter, Patsy;
two brothers: Walter and Raymond
and two sisters: Dorothy Garczynski, and Mary Phillippi.
Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 801 George St., Crivitz, Friday, October 23, 2009, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a wake service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home Saturday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with Father Walter Stumpf officiating. Military Rites will be given by the Crivitz American Legion at the church.
Placed to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Crivitz.
