Herman Behnke's Rites on Monday
CRIVITZ (PG) --- Funenal services for Herman Behnke, 67, Crivitz. Rt 1, who died Friday, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Crivitz Mausoleum. The Rev. Edward Stelter, Crivitz. will officiate and burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery here.
Friends may call at the Crivitz Mausoleum after 2 p. m. Sunday. The Rhodes Mortuary, Coleman, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Behnke was born April 12, 1890, in the Town of Grover, Marinette County.
He was married to Leona Klansky in Marinette July 5, 1916.
He drove a school bus for the Town of Beaver for eight years and operated farms in Marinette County before 1953. He then operated a tavern at Pound for three years before retiring in 1956.
Survivors are his wife Leona;
four sons: Walter, Marinette, WI; Raymond, Peshtigo, WI; Harry, Milwaukee, WI and Arnold, Crivitz, WI;
three daughters: Mrs. Melvin (Adeline) Wyss, St. Croix Falls, WI; Mrs. Edward (Dorothy) Garczynski, Crivitz, WI and Mrs. Roland (Mary) Philippi, Suring, WI;
a brother, Robert, Peshtigo, WI;
a sister, Mrs. Thomas Newlon, Mountain, WI;
and 28 grandchildren.
