Myrtle M. Harker, 96, formerly of Hollidaysburg RD2, passed away Thursday evening at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Puzzletown, daughter of Henry and Myrtle (Kunsman) Himes. She married Dean B. Harker on Oct. 20, 1936, in Cumberland, Md., and he died April 25, 1992, after having shared 55 years of marriage.

Surviving are two daughters: M. Marie Harker and Shirley A. Blazer (Raymond), both of Duncansville; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Myrtle retired from Sylvania after 36 years of service as a stem inspector. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2015, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, by Father Anthony J. Legarski. Committal will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Newry.

Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
