HAMLET - George (Bud) Keller, 44, Rt. 1, Hamlet, died at 9 p.m. Friday in Starke Memorial Hospital, Knox, after an illness of seven months. He was born Dec. 11, 1917, in Chicago. He had lived here 42 years, coming from Chicago. He was a farmer and mechanic, employed by the Starke County Co-op.
He married Ellen Alcock Oct. 16, 1938, in Hamlet. Surviving, besides his widow, are one son, George Samuel, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Ann Seese, Hamlet, and Judith Ellen, at home; one grandson and his father, George D. Keller, of Hamlet.
Friends may call in the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet, until noon Sunday, when the body will be taken to the Hamlet Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the church. Rev. Robert Hansen will officiate. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery. He was secretary of the board of directors of the Starke County Farm Bureau Co-op, was an adult 4-H leader, a member of the Hamlet and Lions Club, and the Hamlet Methodist Church.
