Fred Myers, 64, 154 Oak Drive, died early Wednesday afternoon at the Glidden Memorial Hospital. A resident of DeKalb for several years, he had been in poor health for some time.

Fred Myers was born April 1, 1885 in Sioux Township, South Dakota, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Meyers, and died January 4, 1950. He was united in marriage to Amelia Jabe at Pierce, S.D. in 1906. He was employed as a plant grower at greenhouses.

Surviving are three sons, Charles H. Myers of Galesburg, and Robert J. and John W. Myers, both of DeKalb; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Benolaitis and Mrs. Irene Zeller, both of DeKalb; and 11 grandchildren. His wife died in February 1946, and his parents and one daughter preceded him in death.

Private funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Ronan Mortuary with Rev. Willard G. Foote, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery at Sycamore.
