~Jacob Stouffer, a miller from Stoufferstown, Pennsylvania (near Chambersburg) was visiting the area with his wife Eliza in 1847. Her mother was Elizabeth Longenecker, a granddaughter of Ulrich and Barbara Scherr. The notes made by Stouffer were interpreted by Noah Good and turned over to the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society. There were a few minor date errors in the transcriptions of Ulrich, Barbara, Johannes, and Henrich.
