Christine Howell Conner, (Tootie), 74, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, January 13, 1997.
She was a member of Garden City Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leander V. Conner.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila C. and Danny Noell, Vinton; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Paige Conner, Roanoke, Kenneth and Janice Conner, Goodview; sisters and brothers-in-law, Florence (Tossie) and Randy Carrell, Vinton, Loraine Childers, Rocky Mount; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymon and Gladys Howell, Vinton, Robert and Mary Howell, Villamont, Everett and Cleo Howell, Salem; sisters-in-law and husband, Cassie Lowe, Myrtle Conner, both of Fincastle, Irene and Earl Thacker, Christine Gibson, all of Troutville; brother-in-law and wife, Riley and Cathryn Conner, Cloverdale; seven grandchildren, Andy L. Conner, U.S.N. Nevada, Tim W. Noell, Salem, Randy L. Noell, Vinton, Matthew D. Conner, Caleb A. Conner, both of Roanoke, Christy Conner, Troutville, Courtney Conner, Goodview; three great-grandsons, Joshua and Jonathon Conner, Nevada, Zachary Noell, Salem.
Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, January 17, with the Rev. Don McCaskill officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
