Robert Curtis Howell, 83, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012. He was an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Rosie Howell; one brother; and three sisters.
Robert is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia Mary Howell; two daughters and two sons, Rosemary (Paul Pogorzelski) Donaldson, Curtis (Wanda) Howell, Dorothy (Ronnie) Whorley, and Robert (Lynda) Howell; 12 grandchildren, Amy, Tonya, Virginia, Shannon, Tammy, Jeremiah, Cheyenne, Cherokee, Crystal, April, Stephanie, and LaCresha; one sister, Tossie (Randy) Carrell; one brother, Ramon
(Gladys) Howell; 13 great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ramond "Tool" Tyler and Courtney Buckland.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Oakey's East Chapel with the Pastor Jerry Naff officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by the U.S. Navy. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
