George and Clarrisa are buried on their land in a small cemetery named Brush Creek Cemetery. Their cemetery stones were just discovered in 2014.

This previously unrecorded cemetery was given its' name in 2014 by the Chariton County Historical Society based upon its' location on Brush Creek Lane in T54 R20 S27. This land was patented by George Ashby in 1833.
