Eva was the fourth of eight children born to William and Phebe (Hedges) Vandeveer. She married Patrick Gallagher in 1869 and they had thirteen children: Jesse, Mary Minerva, Frederick Octavis, Edith Belle, Raymond William, Charles Calvin, John Thomas, Richard Patrick, Clarence Everett, Ella Fern and three infant children.

The remains of Mrs. Eva Gallagher were shipped back here for burial this week, and laid to rest beside those of her husband in the Cleveland cemetery today. Obituary will appear next week.

FORMER COUNTY RESIDENT WHO DIED IN IOWA BURIED AT CLEVELAND

Mrs. Eva Gallagher, who died at Mason City, Iowa, was buried at Cleveland, alongside the remains of her husband who died January of 1915. Mrs. Gallagher died August 26th and was 72 years of age. She leaves eight children, Mrs. J. W. Dawson, Carson, Minn.; Mrs. E. J. Williams, Mason City, Ia.; Ray and John Gallagher, Pinegree; Charles Gallagher, Tappen; Clarence Gallagher; Mason City, Ia., and Mrs. E. R. Clemens, Mason City.
The deceased was one of the pioneer settlers of Stutsman county, her husband having had a homestead three miles west of Cleveland where they lived for many years, and has a host of friends here among the early settlers.
