DOVER Ramona M. (Yohe) Sheets, 87, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Normandie Ridge Nursing Home. She was the wife of John M. Sheets, Sr. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on May 19, 2015. Ramona was born May 19, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Eleanor (Snyder) Yohe. During WWII, Ramona worked at York Narrow Fabrics making parachute tapes for the U.S. Military. She late married John and became a homemaker. Ramona was a member of York Bible Church and previously attended the Church of the Open Door for 25 years. She enjoyed bowling, softball and caring for children. Her celebration of life funeral service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at York Bible Church, 890 Taxville Road, York, with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. David Sutter, officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., West York, is entrusted with arrangements. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sheets is survived by four children, Mrs. Eleanor Moyer of Arizona, Mrs. Theresa Keyes of Hanover, and James Sheets and Mrs. Julie Habecker and her husband, Dennis of Dover; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Oster; and one brother, Harold Yohe. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, John M. Sheets, Jr., who passed away in September of 2011.
