David W. Devonshire, 70 of Bonita Springs, FL and formerly of Lake Forest, died June 25, 2015. Husband of Lidia Devonshire nee Boyduy. Father of Kelly (Gabe) Izsak of Lake Forest, Ashley Devonshire of Chicago, Nicholas Devonshire of Washington DC, Mika Devonshire of Washington DC and Gregory Devonshire of Chicago. Grandfather of Emmett and Wynn Izsak. Brother of Elaine (Michael) Collins of Bonita Springs, FL. Daves brother-in-law of 30 years, Joseph Gary Markle, spoke very highly of him and his friendly nature and was deeply touched by his loss. David received his BS from Widener in Pennsylvania and MBA from Kellogg at Northwestern. Mr. Devonshire was the Executive Vice President and CFO of Motorola from 2002 to 2007. He served in the past as CFO at Ingersoll-Rand and Owens-Corning, and in other corporate financial leadership positions at Honeywell, Mead, Baxter, American Hospital, and Peat, Marwick. He especially enjoyed serving on many civic and company boards including the Toledo Zoo, Shedd Aquarium, United Way, L.E.K. Consulting and, most recently, MCR, LLC. He also served on public company boards for many years at Roper Industries, Meritor, Career Education, and Arbitron. In 2006, Mr. Devonshire was voted one of the top 100 financial executives by Treasury and Risk Magazine and was voted one of the best Chief Financial Officers for 2005, 2006, and 2007 by Institutional Investor.
