OTTUMWA – Marie Van Gorp, 91, formerly of 102 W. Finley, died at 9:35 a.m. Feb. 14, 1993, at Sunnyslope.
She was born Nov. 12, 1901, in Otley to James R. and Mary Myers Hart. She married Richard VanGorp on June 16, 1920, in Newton. He died May 10, 1956.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald; three sisters, Jennie Moore, Louella Koons and Margaret McGuire; and four brothers, Charles, George, Harry and Platz Hart.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Richard Quinlan officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. today, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Harold, Max and Terry Gustaveson, Bill Hart, Jack Howard and Bob Shumaker.
Memorials may be made to her church.
