PIONEER OF THE PAJARO VALLEY DIED SANTA CRUZ SUNDAY

Mrs. J. H. Bradshaw, who had been one of the well known pioneer women of the Pajaro Valley, died at her home in Santa Cruz, this Sunday.

Arrangements have been made to hold the funeral services at the Free Methodist church in Santa Cruz at 1:00 o'clock tomorrow, Wednesday afternoon. The Chase Undertaking Co., of Santa Cruz, will bring the body to Watsonville for burial in the Watsonville I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Mrs. Bradshaw is survived by the following children: Mrs. John Nistetter, Mrs. Charles Nistetter, Mrs. L.M. Amidon and L.H. Bradshaw, all of Watsonville; Miss Lottie Bradshaw and Mrs. Alma Totten, of Santa Cruz; and Mrs. J.C. Arro, of Oakland. Also by 36 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was born in Illinois, June 2, 1847, being almost 80 years of age. She came to California in 1853, living for the greater part of the time in this valley. She was the daughter of the late Frank Aldridge. Her husband died here about five years ago. They were married in 1862. She was a devoted Christian woman, highly respected and beloved by all who knew her and a host of friends and acquaintances join in extending sincere condolences to the bereaved children.
