CORRALITOS PIONEER DIED LAST SATURDAY AT SANTA CRUZ

John H. Bradshaw, for fifty-seven years a resident of this county, died Saturday morning at his home in Santa Cruz, after a long illness from an incurable trouble.

Mr. Bradshaw was born in Tennessee on April 25, 1840, and first came to California in 1857, where, after spending two years in Solano county, he finally located in Corralitos, where he was one of the most highly respected ranchers of the community.

In 1862 he was married to Miss Elmina Aldridge in Bocaville, Solano county, and had he survived would have celebrated his fifty-seventh wedding anniversary yesterday. During their long married life the couple brought up fifteen children, seven of whom are still living.

Mr. Bradshaw is one of the last of the real pioneers of the district to pass away. He was a man of exemplary character and substantial virtues. Five years ago he left his home at Corralitos and moved to Santa Cruz to spend his last days.

Besides his wife he is survived by the following children: Mrs. J.C. Arro of Oakland, Mrs. John Nistetter, Mrs. Chas. Nistetter, Mrs. Lewis Arnidon, Mrs. Reuben Totten, and one son, Albert H. Bradshaw. He leaves also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral services were held at Santa Cruz this afternoon, and the body afterwards brought to Watsonville for interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
