Funeral mass for Frank Fiore, 87, is 10 AM Monday at Santa Maria del Popolo “Big Church” 116 N. Lake St Mundelein IL. Entombment will follow in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation is 1-5 PM Sunday July 12th at the Kristan Funeral Home P.C. 219 West Maple Ave. (2 blocks west of Rt. 45 on Rt. 176) Mundelein. Frank was born June 11, 1928 in Italy and died July 10, 2015 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was the owner of Frank’s Shoe Repair in Mundelein for 32 years. He was a member of the Mundelein Lions Club and an usher at Santa Maria del Popolo Church for many years. Frank was a member of the father and son bowling league and a crossing guard at Mechanics Grove School for 15 years. Frank was passionate about fishing, gardening and travel, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frank also enjoyed passing on the Italian traditions to his family. He is survived by his loving wife Philomena (nee Lampugnano), loving son Anthony (Filomena) Fiore, grandchildren Mena (Timothy) Malham, Frank (Megan) Fiore, Marisa (Jonathon) Anderson, great grandchildren Vinny, Timmy, Mariella, Arianna, Milena and Laila.
