DOWAGIAC - Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur V. Gillette, 416 North Front Street, Dowagiac, will be honored at an open house Sunday. April 3, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Federated Church, Dowagiac. Friends and relatives are invited to the event being hosted by their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. David A. Gillette of Ann Arbor. Wilbur. V. Gillette and Marie L. Anthony were married April 7. 1927, in Dowagiac by the Rev. Joseph Fox. Mr. and Mrs. Gillette retired eight years ago. He was employed by Michigan Power Company and Mrs. Gillette was an elementary teacher in Dowagiac for 35 years. The couple has two sons. Wilbur V. Gillette Jr. of Kalamazoo and David Gillette of Ann Arbor; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
