Dorothy Irene Findley Tronson was born on Sept. 3, 1913, to Carrie Adeline Ward Bullock and Alva Carn Bullock. Dorothy passed away on July 4, 2006, at Medical City Hospital, in Dallas, TX. She married the love of her life, James Olduff Findley, on Oct. 6, 1928.

Dorothy worked as a sales lady at Street's Clothing Boutique in Oklahoma City for many years. Dorothy accepted Christ as her Savior many years ago. She was an active member of the Kelham Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, OK and later the First Baptist Church in Weslaco, TX.

Survivors include son, Dewight Findley and companion of many years, Joyce Everman of Richardson, TX; one son-in-law, Gene Whittaker of OKC, OK; three grandchildren, Gayle Draper and husband, Tom of Arcadia, OK, Jann Akins and husband, Jack of Yukon, OK, Ryan Kade Findley and wife, Kami of Dallas, TX; great grandchildren, Josh Adamson, Kelly Mustain, Trisha Draper, Donnie Draper, Jami Akin, Jordan Akin, T.J. Giles, and Kade Findley; great great grandchildren, Travis Mustain, Keaton Draper, Shelby Mustain; and 1 brother, Ralph Eugene Bullock and wife, Mary of Weatherford, TX.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Alva Carn Bullock and Carrie Adeline Ward; her husband, James Olduff Findley; three children, Joyce Whittaker, Jackie Neil Findley, and Patricia Fay Findley; three grandchildren, Linda Jo Whittaker, Nita Joyce Giles, Katherine Moore Findley; one great granddaughter, Jaycee Akin; two sisters, Edna Sledge, and Stella Findley, and two brothers, Elbert Bullock, and Alva Carns Bullock, Jr.

Services were held on Friday, July 7, 2006, Hinton-Turner Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton, OK. Officiating Rev. Steve Murray. Burial Hinton Cemetery, Hinton, Oklahoma, under the direction of the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.
