Kenneth William "Kenny" Albrecht, 68 of Kearney, died Thursday morning, November 9, 2000.

Kenny was born April 29, 1932 in Amherst, Nebraska to Robert and Elva E. (Stevens) Albrecht. Kenny was received as a child of God through the washing of Holy Baptism in August of 1932, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Amherst, Neb. On June 9, 1946 , Kenny became a communicant member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod through the Rite of Confirmation at Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst, Neb. He graduated from Miller High School in 1950. Kenny entered the service in 1952 and served in the U.S. Army until he was discharged in 1954. On April 10, 1953, Kenny was united in marriage to Vaughn Cherry at Miller, Nebraska. To this union three children were born. Michael, Vicki, and Bruce. Kenny was a lifetime resident of the Miller, Amherst, and Kearney area. Kenny was the owner of Nolte Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing from 1969 to 1994 when he semi-retired and turned the business over ot his son, Michael.
Kenny's one great passion in his later years was playing golf. He loved his work, fishing, hunting, camping, flying model airplanes, and snowmobiling.
