Our Mom Pat Edmondson devoted her entire life to her family. No matter what, she never, never, never gave up on us. She was the most courageous woman that I have ever known. She faced every obstacle with a smile. We will miss you for the rest of our days. Rest in peace dear Mother. I bet you are smiling down on us today!

Patricia “Pat” May (Hough) Edmondson, 85, resident of Nowata, OK, passed away on July 7, 2015, at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK. Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Chelsea Cemetery in Chelsea, OK with Rev Allan Walker officiating.

Pat was born on April 7, 1930 in Billings, OK to Russ Hough and Alma (Lawrence) Bennett. She attended school in Nowata. On July 30, 1947, in Nowata, she married the love of her life Ernie Edmondson. They spent the majority of their married life in Nowata. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernie, daughter Janie (Edmondson) Mize, sister, Reta Jo (Hough) Mitchell, and brother Lawrence Hough.

She is survived by her brother Tommy Lee Bennett of Tulsa, OK; a daughter Barbara Jo (Gary) Kerr of Louisburg, KS, sons Johnny and Steve Edmondson of Nowata; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brother-in-law Bruce Mitchell of Kansas City, MO; and a host of friends and family.

Pat worked as a grocery store clerk before getting her LPN license. She worked at the Nowata Hospital. For twenty five years she and Ernie owned and operated the Silver Saddle Motel in Nowata.

While raising her family she attended the Nowata Assembly of God Church. In later years, she was a devoted reader of her Bible and read her daily devotional from In Touch Ministries.

Pat will be long remembered for her dauntless devotion to her family. To her, family was everything.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Local 1033 Wheelchair Van.
