He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy (Brent Reason).
He is survived by his beloved wife Sondra, his children, V.V. Cooke III (Shelley) and Trudi (Tad Carroll); grandchildren, Taylor and Cameron Carroll and Lillian and Charlotte Cooke; and stepsons, Harris Gilbert and William Tolbert (Cindy) Whittenberg.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Church United Methodist, 4614 Brownsboro Road, with private burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
