Harry attended rural schools in Kansas and after receiving his education he started farming with his father and in Aug of 1941, Harry joined the US Army and served in WWII. He spent 17 mos on the front lines and then in January of 1943 he was married to Inez C Horton in Lompoc, CA.
They went on to have 4 children, Deborah, Cynthia, Terry and John. Grandpa lived out the remainder of his life in the farm country of Iowa.
