Terry Lee Hargett passed away suddenly on August 22, 2010 due to a heart attack while playing golf. He was 56 years old.

Terry was born October 11, 1953 in Jefferson, Iowa the son of Harry and Inez (Horton) Hargett. He was raised in Ralston, Iowa and attended school in Glidden where he loved to play basketball. He also played the drums.

Terry was an extremely hard working man. Loyal, driven, compassionate, trustworthy, loving and giving best describe him as a father, son and friend. Terry saved everything, including the pink receipt from his first car!

In 1971 he moved with his sister, Cyndi and husband, Larry to Omaha, Nebraska. They then moved to Anaheim, California in 1976. Terry married Cynthia Meza in May of 1983. They were married for 22 years. Daughter, Vanessa was born in April of 1986.

The family moved to Salem, Oregon in 1993. Terry moved to Tigard 5 months ago. He worked for Maxtek in Beaverton as a Master-Scheduler. Playing poker with his work buddies was a favorite pastime. His daughter was very special to him. He loved to play catch with her, and attended all her softball games when she was younger. They also enjoyed movies together and playing rummy as well as watching Star Trek The Next Generation. He was an avid golfer and loved baseball.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Vanessa of Portland; sisters, Cyndi Drake of Branson, Missouri and Debbie Stuhr of Omaha, Nebraska; brother, John Hargett of Bates City, Missouri and former wife, Cynthia Hargett of Salem, Oregon.
