Clinton, Ind. (Special) - Jacob D. Botner, 85, RR 3, died at 12:50 a.m. Sunday in Union Hospital, Terre Haute. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include the widow, Lucy; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Wright, Clinton, and Mrs. Blanch Saxton, Dana; a son, Lester, Clinton; a brother C.C., Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Ola Thorne, Dana; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Frist Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Flory officiating. Burial will be in the Helt's Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Monday.

According to the World War I Draft Registration Card from 1917-1918, he was of medium height and build and had blue eyes and black hair. He married Lucy Pearl Haun, daughter of Parrett Haun & Elizabeth Heber, November 29, 1906 in Vermillion County, Indiana. They were also the parents of Dorothy Lucille who died as an infant.
