Survivors include his wife, Donna of Central City; one son-District Judge Robert Steinke and his wife Chris of Columbus; one grandson-Matthew Torczon and Jennifer Simpson and their daughter Haylie Mae Torczon all of Wayne; one brother-George Steinke and his wife Arlene of Central City; four sisters-Marie Pierce of Columbus; Lillie Pierce of Holdrege; Carrie (Robert) Bannister of Hershey; and Genevive "Jenny" (Mike) Harris of Central City.
Preceded in death by his brother Walter Steinke and two infant brothers; a sister Deloris Gustafson and two infant sisters.
