Frank Isaac Stanford, New Hope Rd. R-2, died Sunday at 4:45 a.m. at the age of 50. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doris Robertson Stanford; two sons, AOC Michael Stanford with the U.S. Navy, Pensacola, Fla. and Larry Steven Stanford of the home; three brothers*, Floyd Stanford of Gastonia, and Fred Stanford of Cramerton; two sisters, Mrs. Polly Parker of Gastonia and Mrs. Etta Ramey of Cramerton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Roy Rikard will officiate. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Stanford was a deacon and teacher in the Men's Bible Class at Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church, where he was a member 20 years. He was employed by Burlington Industries. Stanford served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Pallbearers will be six deacons of the church. Department superintendents and the remaining deacons are honorary pallbearers. Carothers Funeral Home made the arrangements. (Note: The name of *Lloyd Stanford, a surviving brother, omitted in error)
