Harold was born August 9, 1921 at Cisne, IL to William A. and Francis Ethel (Conard) Block. He married Elenora Haynes March 22, 1967 at Flora, IL and she survives.
Harold retired as a construction worker and painter for Las Young Construction Company in Cisne, IL. He was a WWII veteran, a member of VFW Flora Post #3999 for 68 years, Cisne American Legion Post #603 for 68 years, and Flora Eagles for 54 years.
Harold is survived by his wife Elenora Block; two sons Jamie (Becky) Block and Charles Block and friend Erin Krutsinger; one sister Hazel (Robert) Smith; one brother Jack (Barbara) Block; two sisters-in-law Wanda and Geneva Block. Three grandchildren Nathan Block, Kristen and Callie Block and three great grandchildren Ashton and Hunter Block and Peyton Porter also survive.
He was preceded in death by one sister Ferne, two brothers Carroll and Glen and his parents.
A Celebration of Life service wias held at Hosselton Funeral Home.
Burial was in Cisne Cemetery with military honors at the cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the family and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
