Mary B. Jones

Mary B. Jones, 84, of Washington, died at 2:50 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2000, in Washington Hospital. She was born February 6, 1916, in Washington, a daughter of Jesse J. and Myrtle Howard Briggs. Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Washington High School and was Presbyterian. She was a member of the Homemakers Craft Club. On May 11, 1940, she married Walter G. "Dutch" Jones, who died November 20, 1998. Surviving are two sisters, Fern B. Lambert of Washington and Eva Riding of Hartford, Conn.; two brothers, Jesse and Charles Briggs, both of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private, with burial in Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hummell & Barnhill Memorial Chapel Inc., Washington.
