Mrs. Edward Fox Dies at Age 68
Mrs. Edward Fox, 68, lifelong resident of Rock county, died a t 8:16 a.m. Tuesday in her home, 456 Galena Street, following a long illness.
Formerly Mary Ellen Ford, the daughter of Edward Ford, she was born in the town of Porter, September 25, 1867. She lived in the town of Porter until nine years ago. Miss Ford and Edward Fox were married in St. Michael’s church, Porter, May 26, 1895. She is survived by her husband, Edward Fox; one son, W. E. Fox, town of Porter; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Farrington, Janesville; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Miss Margaret Ford, Porter, Mrs. Lawrence Barrett, Center, Mrs. Judd McCarthy, Stoughton, Mrs. Edward Casey, Janesville; and one brother, John Ford, Porter. A brother, Edward Ford, died Nov. 13, 1933.
Mrs. Fox was a member of St. Patrick’s church. The funeral will be held at 8:46 a.m. Thursday in the home and at 8:16 a.m. in St. Patrick's church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
