Edward Ford Dies of Injuries Suffered in Farm Accident

Rites Held Tuesday

Edward Ford, 64, prominent local farmer, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday from injuries sustained when he fell from the second story door of the barn on the Ford farm in Porter township. He suffered a skull fracture when he struck the cement floor of the barn and died a half hour later.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the home and at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's church, northeast of the city, with the Rev. J. E. Harlin, Edgerton, officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery with Dennis Casey, D. A. McCarthy, Charles McCarthy, Neil McGinley, Thomas Stearns and Thomas Reilly as pall bearers.

Mr. Ford, who was born on a farm in Porter township Aug. 12, 1869, is survived by one brother, John Ford, Porter township; and five sisters, Mrs. Edward Fox and Mrs. Edward Casey, Janesville; Mrs. Lawrence Barrett, Center township; Mrs. Judd McCarthy, Stoughton; and Miss Margaret Ford, at home.
