Mrs. Doris Lee Young Cliett, 91, passed away on June 12, 2015, at Waverly Care Home in West Point. Mrs. Doris was born April 28, 1924, in Van Vleet, in Chickasaw County, the daughter of the late William Thomas and Annie Hilma Smith Young. She was a homemaker and member of Pheba Baptist Church. She married Clinton Floyd Cliett on June 25, 1941, in Eupora, and he passed away February 1, 2006. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother: James Young.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 14, 2015, at 3:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Terry Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery in Montpelier. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include Her Four Sons, Larry Alton Cliett of Pheba, Gary Allen Cliett of Hollywood, FL, Michael Young Cliett (Deborah) of Byram, and Hugh Lawson Cliett (Susan) of Flora; Six Grandchildren; Five Great Grandchildren; Two Sisters, Pauline Wright of Meridian and Ozelle Burges of West Point; and One Brother, Paul Young (Addie Rae) of West Point.
Pallbearers will be Bryant Millsaps, Kim Millsaps, Glen Allen Forrester, Roger Johnston, Nick Walker, and Danny White.
