Artist, Writer. The wife of author Nathaniel Hawthorne, she illustrated his story "The Gentle Boy" (1839), which was dedicated to her. Buried at Kensal Green Cemetery in London, she was reinterred at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in June 2006.
