Meryl B. Bromwell, age 90, died Friday morning, May 29, 2015, at Inman KS.
She was born July 27, 1924, to Isaac W. and Cora (Atkinson) Brown in Centerville IA. She attended and graduated from the Salt City Business College, Hutchinson KS. She worked in a variety of jobs in Plains KS which included her work in the bank, a bookkeeper at the Home Lumber and Supply, and as a custodian for the Plains school system.
On February 19, 1948, she married Frank H. Bromwell at Plains. He precedes her in death on May 4, 2005.
She is survived by four sons, Tom Bromwell of Shell Knob MO, Gary Bromwell of Plains, Richard Bromwell and Larry Bromwell, both of Hutchinson; a daughter Denice Bromwell of Inman; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; a son, Jack Bromwell; her parents; brother and sisters; and a grandson, Jake Bromwell.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade KS. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Plains Cemetery, Plains KS.
