Mr. Arthur Benjamin Ahrens, 92, of White Oak, Frederericksburg, passed away in Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg at 12:20 a.m. Thursday Sept. 27, 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Vernell Becker Ahrens of Fredericksburg; two sons, two daughters and spouses, Allen Ahrens, Arleen and Daryl Kelley all of White Oak, Arnell Meyer and Alton and Barbara Ahrens, all of Houston; five grandchildren; sister-in-law, Melinda (Mrs. Edgar Ahrens) of Tierra Linda.
Vigil services will be at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Deacon Louis Loth officiating.
Mass Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. saturday, Sept. 29, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Father Tony Vilano officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Fredericksburg.
