Patrick R. Ponce, 81 of St. Petersburg, FL passed away May 14, 2015. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida he was a St. Petersburg resident since 1977. He is survived sons; Patrick Jr., Pittsboro, NC, Michael (Cynthia) of St. Petersburg, FL. niece Anne (George) Mixon of Huntsville AL, nephew Daniel (Susan) Luvisi of Jacksonville, FL, niece Patricia Luvisi of Jacksonville FL. He is preceded in death by his parents Deleon and Leila Ponce of Jacksonville, FL, his loving wife of 57 years Barbara Ponce, his sons Robert Ponce and Steven Ponce all of St. Petersburg FL, his sister Mary Luvisi of Jacksonville FL, his brother Leon Ponce of St. Petersburg FL. He graduated from St. Josephs Academy, Jacksonville, FL in 1952, served in the U. S Army for 2 years during the Korean War, station in Ft. Richardson Alaska. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 1959. Pat worked for many years at Isla Del Sol in St. Petersburg as Controller. He was a loving husband, caring father and lifelong Gator sports fan. His smile and sense of humor will be missed by all. Visitation will be Monday, May 18 at 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Jr. St., and Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, May 19 at 10am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1800 12th St. N., burial following at Sunnyside Cemetery.
