He died from an appendicitis attack at the age of 19 while living with his parents at 1142 5th St, N.E., Washington, D.C. He was buried on September 30, 1904 at Congressional Cemetery in Washington D.C. but was later moved to Glenwood Cemetery. Neither cemetery has any record of him being moved and Congressional still has him listed as being buried there.
