Sarah passed away at the age of 83 in her home in Seat Pleasant, Prince George's Co., Maryland on August 8, 1929. She was laid to rest on August 10, 1929 in the lot owned by her husband. there was no cause of death listed in the cemetery books.
The lot and headstone are shared with her husband, Lt. Henry Harrison Jeter; son, Earl Meredith Jeter,granddaughter, June Dunnington, and daughters, Frances Marion Jeter Dunnington and Clara L. Jeter
She was also the mother to, Martha Ethel Jeter Kraft, Mary Rankin Jeter Dunnington, William Elbert Jeter, Alice Russell Jeter (died in Arcola, Illinois at 2 years of age), Harriet Edith Jeter Krauer, Infant Son Jeter, died in Arcola, Illinois.
