SATURDAY SERVICES FOR WILLIAM ALLEN
Funeral services for William Carter Allen, 77 of 930 Westwood, who died early Thursday at Pershing Hospital, will be held Saturday afternoon at the Park Baptist Church. Burial will be in Park Lawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bowder-Rhodes Funeral Home. William Carter, the son of Isaac Jeremiah and Clarissa (DeWeese) Allen, was born Mar. 18, 1897 in Chariton County. On Oct. 12, 1932 he married Edith Lambert in Indian Grove. Surviving are his wife, Edith; a son, William L. Allen of Marceline; a daughter, Mrs. Calvin (Donna) McCauslin of Marceline; two sisters, Edna Foster of Laclede, and Mary Miller of Denver, Colorado; twelve grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and five sisters. He was a member of the Park Baptist Church in Brookfield and was a retired farmer.
