Elizabeth Thatcher was born February 10, 1810 in Hunterdon Co., NJ, the daughter of Daniel and Nancy Bilby Thatcher.

On November 3, 1827 she married Aaron E. Chamberlain in Ontario Co., NY. He died February 9, 1849 and is buried in the Old Monticello City Cemetery in Monticello, IN.

They were the parents of ten children: Joseph Warren (#14620351), Henry Thatcher (#7251605), Daniel(#14620395) , Hannah Ann who died in infancy and is buried at Dunkirk, NY, George Washington (#14620424), Emaline, John (#72068263), Caroline, Mary Elizabeth (#50199437), and Aaron Jr.(#11438514).

On October 30, 1849 Elizabeth married Lewis Wilson Denton.
He died January 19, 1876 and is buried in Jordan Cemetery at Waverly, Nebraska.

Elizabeth lived with her son George W. Chamberlain in White County. She passed away May 30, 1882 and is buried at Dellinger (West Point) Cemetery near Wolcot, IN.
