Joseph W. Chamberlain died on Wednesday, March 31, 1915, at the home of his son, James Chamberlain, near Ripley, IN., death being due to apoplexy. Deceased was aged 87 years, 7 months, and 24 days. The body was prepared by undertakers Anstis and Barnett for shipment to the former home at Reynolds. The remains left Ripley this morning, the funeral services to be held at Reynolds.

Joseph W. Chamberlain was born August 7, 1828, and passed away March 31, 1915 at the age of 86. The early part of his life was spent in Indiana and Illinois. At the age of 25 he was married to Yensi M. Thomas and to this union 5 children were born, 4 of whom are still living. Mrs. Frances Carr of Weatherford, OK, Charles of Peoria, IL and James (#25762940) of Ripley, IN with whom he made his home. He was a blacksmiith all his life until he came to live with his son. He has been in good health until about 3 months ago when his health began failing. He took to his bed Saturday, March 27, and was never able to leave. The body was taken to West Port for burial. MARRIED SARAH ANN DECKER OF SARATOGA. SHE DIED IN 1921.
AFTER JOSEPH DIED IN 1915 SARAH WENT WITH HER PARENTS TO
NEBRASKA. SHE IS BURIED IN FAIRVIEW CEMETERY, CRESTON,
PLATTE CO, NB.
