MISS EULA STRICKLAND DIES AT BROTHER'S HOME
Miss Eula Lee Strickland died in the home of her brother, T. M. Strickland, at Mill Village, Saturday morning, August 14, after several years of sill health, death following brain tumor and pneumonia.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Strickland and spent her girlhood years at Daviston. Later, she with the family of younger children moved to LaGrange, Ga. and for several years she resided at Pepperell in Opelika.
Funeral services were held Sun day afternoon at Pepperell Baptist Church where she was a member, the pastor, Rev. Mezick, conducting. Burial was in Opelika cemetery.
She is survived by one brother, T. M. Strickland, and three sisters, Mrs. W. A. Cunningham, Opelika, Mrs. B. M. Harris, Riverview, Mrs. J. A. Brooks, Roanoke.
Miss Strickland was a devout Christian and made herself a blessing to the younger parentless children. She mothered them and always dealt with them kindly, setting a good example in high principles of living.
