Florina Meier, 83, Hoxie, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Sheridan County Health Complex, Hoxie.

She was born Nov. 26, 1927, in St. Peter to Pete and Catherine (Rome) Lang.

She married Bob Meier on June 27, 1947. in St. Peter. He preceded her in death in 1987.

Survivors include a son, Gary Meier, Hoxie; three daughters, Charlene Meier, Falls Church, Va., Mary Leo, Fairfax, Va., and Lori Meier Horesky, Hoxie; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robbie, in 2006.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Hoxie; burial in St. Frances Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Sheridan County Community Foundation or Hospice of Phillipsburg in care of the funeral home.
